K53 Ace — Terms of Use

Last updated 1 October 2026

This page covers K53 Ace, the iPhone app for preparing for the South African K53 learner's licence test. App support is provided by AZ & J PTY LTD (ACN 699 901 196, ABN 42 699 901 196), based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Your app licence

K53 Ace uses Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement. Your licence is granted by the app's publisher identified on the App Store. Read that agreement for the licence conditions. This page provides app-specific information and does not replace that agreement.

An independent study aid

K53 Ace is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Department of Transport, the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), NaTIS, or any driving licence testing centre.

We write the questions and explanations ourselves from the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996, the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000, and the SADC Road Traffic Signs Manual, and each question shows its source. The road sign drawings are our own artwork based on the official designs.

Always check the official rules

Laws, road signs, and test procedures change, and mistakes can happen. Study the official K53 manual and the current law, and confirm the test format, pass marks, and what to bring with your testing centre before your test.

The pass marks used in mock exams are the ones most widely published and may differ at your centre. Pass readiness is an estimate from your recent answers, not a prediction of your test result.

No guarantee

Using K53 Ace does not guarantee that you will pass any test. Use it alongside the official K53 manual and practical lessons.

If you find a mistake in a question, email us with the question and what you think is wrong. We check it against the source and fix it in an update.

Your records

Your study progress is stored on your device. K53 Ace has no account-based backup or sync service, and we cannot recover your progress. Deleting the app or losing your device can lose those records. Device backups depend on your Apple settings. The K53 Ace privacy policy explains what is stored and what is never collected.

Purchases and refunds

K53 Ace is free to download. Full access is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Review the price shown in the app and in Apple's confirmation sheet before buying. Apple processes App Store payments. Where Apple allows it, full access is also available to your Family Sharing group.

To recover full access on a new or reset device, use Restore in the app with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Contact us if access is still missing.

You can request an App Store refund through Apple's refund process. Eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable law.

Consumer rights

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts, or changes rights, guarantees, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law, including the consumer law of the country where you live. Contact us about a fault or purchase problem so we can help.

Support and updates

For question, purchase, or privacy help, email [email protected]. Include your app version, device model, and a description of the problem. We will never ask for your Apple Account password or payment-card details.

We may update K53 Ace and this page as the law, the content, or the app changes. The date at the top shows when this page last changed.
